Meet Our Coaching Staff
Panthers Hockey Director
A little history about myself, I grew up in Lake Forest, IL. I started skating and playing hockey at the age of 5, and have never stopped since. For high school, I attended The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT. After that, I spent two years playing Division 1 NCAA Women’s Hockey for the Colgate University Raiders. After my sophomore year, I decided to continue my hockey career at The University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I played for the Badgers for my Junior and Senior Seasons. I was not quite ready for my hockey career to be over, so I was fortunate enough to play semi-professional hockey in Europe for two seasons for the Salzburg Eagles and Hockey Club Lugano. I then moved to Stamford to play professionally for the Connecticut Whale in National Women’s Hockey League for the past two seasons.
I started playing hockey as an 9 year old. The first team I played for was the White Plains Plainsmen. After 1 season with White Plains I went to play for the Jr. Harvey Cavaliers and was eventually recruited to play at the Harvey school where I spent my last 3 years of high school. I then went on to play at Springfield college where I played for three years. My last year at college I played goalie for the Hartford Thunder, a semi pro inline team that was based out of Glastonbury.
As a coach I've spent five seasons with the Bedford Bears, four of which were successful tournament winning seasons. Every season we made the HVHL playoffs, and twice to the finals, one of which we won the HVHL in 2012-2013. I also have been coaching at the Rippowam Cisqua school for the past five years. Four of those years I have coached the girls varsity hockey team. Over those four years we have maintained a winning record.
As an 8 year old kid watching my first hockey game what intrigued me the most about the sport was certainly the speed, but even more the passing and the timing. Making the plays for others and making others around you better, it's what makes hockey such a great team sport.
(please see Hockey Director info above and Coach Jordan will also do the Power Skating and Dry-Land Skills for both teams)
