PANTHERS GIRLS HOCKEY - 2018-2019 TRYOUTS -                                         BEGIN ON MONDAY, APRIL 9

The Panthers Girls Hockey Association is a travel hockey program, created in 2011, that attracts players from all over Fairfield and Westchester Counties. We are dedicated to the development of girls both as hockey players and as individuals. Our professional coaches focus on the fundamental ice hockey skills of skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, situation and team play, and honing overall hockey strategy. Panthers Girls Hockey fosters life-long skills including hard work, leadership, integrity and camaraderie both on and off the ice.

In 2018-2019, we will field U16, U14, U12 and U10 teams.  All teams will compete in the Connecticut Girls Hockey League (CGHL) with the season running from September through early March.  The U14 team won the CGHL Division 2 state tournament and was runner-up in Rumsey Hall Jamboree recently. The U12 team won the Green Mountain Girls Tournament in Vermont for two years in a row, and was runner-up in the CGHL Division 1 state tournament in past years.

Jordan Brickner named Panthers Hockey Director

The Panthers are proud to announce Jordan Brickner as our new Hockey Director!

Jordan will serve as Hockey Director, Skills Coach, and Assistant U14 Coach

Ms. Brickner spent two years playing D1 NCAA Women’s Hockey for the Colgate University Raiders, then continued playing with The University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers for her junior and senior seasons. She then played semi-professional hockey in Europe for two seasons for the Salzburg Eagles and Hockey Club Lugano. And most recently moved to Stamford to play professionally for the Connecticut Whale in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).

“I am very excited to join the Panthers Girls Hockey Association,” stated Ms. Brickner. “For more than five years, the Panthers have provided girls in Westchester and Fairfield counties a great place to learn and hone their hockey skills, and I am looking forward to working with the coaching staff to further develop leadership and skill sets among the players, ultimately challenging the girls to push themselves on and off the ice for their best overall development.”
